The Handy family have been farming arable and livestock at Lower Hampen farm for over 220 years. Clive and Lydia Handy are the 7th generation custodians of this 330 acre farm nestled high up in the Cotswold AONB – a magical patchwork of small fields bounded by dry stone walls and hedgerows. Caring for the environment and creating havens for wildlife is integral to their mixed farming system. They farm under a Higher Level Stewardship scheme following regenerative principals and are always looking to increase biodiversity and improve soil health for future generations to enjoy.

Their species rich grasslands and wild flower meadows are grazed by their flock of Devon Closewools, a dual-purpose rare breed sheep producing wonderful meat and copious amounts of lofty wool with a well developed crimp.

Bespoke commissions are welcome.
